This is a short sequence working towards good body posture by stretching muscles at the front of the body and strengthening muscles in your back.
You will start by bringing awareness to what good body posture is, focusing on where you have your shoulders in space. Then you tie a strap around your shoulders and upper back, feeling how it is to stand up straight and how much easier it is to breathe. With that in mind you will do some standing postures, a back strengthening pose and then finish with a hip stretch and a spinal twist.
The class concludes with three rounds of counted breath.
Equipment: 1 yoga belt or something similar.
This class is aimed at students of all levels. Please ensure you are practising in a suitable environment and spacious area.
