Yoga Retreat – Magical Breath

Cost: £255 – a deposit of £100 secures your place.

I would like to invite you to a yoga retreat set within the peaceful grounds of Samye Ling, the first Tibetan centre to be set up in the west in 1967, simply a magical place in the rolling hills of lowland Scotland. Arrival time between 3-5pm on Friday then I will teach an evening yoga session. On Saturday there will be two yoga sessions and a guided walk in the afternoon, and on the Sunday we will do a full practice in the morning and meet for a short closing of the retreat session that will finish around 3pm.

• exploring breath in various asanas
• exploring breath in Hatha and Yin yoga
• working on good body alignment, standing, sitting and lying down to ensure optimal breathing
• simple and safe breathing techniques
• meditation on breath
• why proper breath is so important and how we can use it
• give everyone the opportunity to draw inspiration from Samye Ling and to experience, for a couple of days, what life is like at the Tibetan Buddhist Monastery and Centre

Terms and conditions:
Cost £255 includes: 2 nights accommodation, all meals and yoga teaching. A £100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a place; the balance is payable by Friday 29th August. Any cancellation within 1 week of the retreat there is only a 50% refund of the total amount paid.

Rooms are single occupancy, basic but comfortable, and there are separate shower facilities finished to a high standard.

Meals are vegetarian and will be enjoyed in the shared canteen. They regretfully can’t cater for individual dietary requirements, please bear in mind that food is prepared in an environment where soya, gluten and dairy products are present.

We will aim to share and fill up cars going, so please get in touch if you don’t have transport.
